Discourse markers

The link below is about discourse markers. I have been trying it to expand my huuuuuuuuge knowledge of connectors. I said to myself it was soooo easy.

Ok, I got a 3 out of 10. I should have paid attention.

Would you like to do it? I am sure you will get more marks than me!

Essay about a city

Although it may seem strange, the description of this city is based on sensations. From a real traveller's point of view, sensations are more likely work their magic and make us feel something special.
Once we have put our feet on the ground, the first thing we feel is the awe-inspiring brise on our face and the humidity in our bodies. Whether it is day or night, we need to get in touch with the Mediterranean atmosphere, whose inmense source is not far away from the train and bus stations.
We have arrived at a maritime city which is second capital of the region, where fish is quality and walks by the sea are a must for our spirits.
Despite the fact that contemporary governments have not respected the richness of the original city's structure in their will of making way for the new, it is still possible to admire its inhabitants' love for the historic areas which have being contributing to its signs of identity.
The cathedral is incomplete. One of its towers was never finished. And something else: if you promenade by La Marina square or the Park, you will be walking over the sea. At the end of the nineteenth Century, a wide extension of land was reclaimed to the sea.
It would be unforgivable were your escape to finish without crossing the sailors' zones, the Picasso Museum (Picasso was born in the centric La Merced square, nowadays crowded by tourists practising chill-out) or the main street, called Larios street.
And it is strongly recommended to eat at El Tintero, where waiters offer the dishes by extolling them aloud.
So, this is our weekly report. Delighted? Buy your tickets and visit the city! You will not regret!

Taste 1: Essay about anything

Have you got time? Plenty of time? Good! You can read this boring text about anything. I hope it makes some sense once you have read it!

Have you ever tried to get rid of boredom by doing anything you never used to do? It is a way of fighting against routine and that is exactly what I am doing now.

Sometimes I see I am getting into too many cyclical activities which constitute a waste of time, although they are important for anyone. Cooking, for example, is very necessary and rewarding, but I can not avoid feeling a slave in those particular days when I do not want to cook.

Many times I have waken up with a cheerful mood. You know: those good moods that you can feel from the very moment of your awakening, even before you put your feet on the floor. Those sensations are often incompatible with the complex set of obligations we will find during the day, so we have two options: to carry on with our normal lives, or to try to live them on a different way for a while... With some complements, we can enlighten our RAM memory from bad sensations. And it will probably take us only few minutes.

A classmate of mine practices meditation every morning. There are many people who go footing before the first cocks sing. I sometimes write. That is why I feel so happy in this moment, creating this for you to read. While I write, chill out music accompanies my fingers. So I am here, willing to write about anything and succeeding for a change: succeeding to feel relaxed.

Who is the next one? As the teacher would probably say: "Anyone else?".

I hope it works

Welcome everybody.

This is our blog. Everybody should be able to write here.

The main target of this blog is to create a suitable net and work our English language in the most entertaining way.

If you have joined as an author, you can write collaborations like this one you are reading.

I suggest the following:

· Write here about anything you wish.

· The rest of us will correct your text. For that purpose I would recommend to use the Comments option so that the text is not touched by anyone but the author.

· We can use in our corrections the same symbols used by the teacher, or we may correct with our personal touch.

And this is the starting point!!

Remember that in blogs, the first entry is seen at the top of the page. So this one you are reading won't be the first one you see: I have just written what will be my first text. Please correct everything I write!!
